Big, red and juicy – we can’t get enough of Fukuoka’s delicious amaou strawberries, and this year marks the 10th anniversary since they were first sold! In honor of this milestone, the Amaou Festival launches this weekend with two-day opening event (2/22, 23 10:00~16:00) at the square outside JR Hakata Station. Try tasty strawberry treats from the Amaou Cafe, featuring shops from JR Hakata City’s Kooten Dining floors, and see the live stage with MC, mascot appearances and kids’ events. The Amaou Festival itself runs from 2/22~3/31 with special menu items at City Kooten Dining (9F & 10F JR Hakata City) and Fukuoka Airport Domestic Terminals 2&3, plus sale of amaou products at Fukuoka Airport’s Sora Mall (2F Fukuoka Airport Terminal 2) .
