Hakuchokai is the name given to the group of doll makers that create Hakata Ningyo (dolls). A selection of approximately 25 pieces of work from some of their most talented young artists will be on display this July. This is a great chance to enjoy creations by the next generation of Hakuchokai doll makers, who are striving to protect this traditional craft, while infusing their own work with individuality and verve. Some of the pieces will even be on sale, so make sure not to miss out!
