Global Connect Spark Day: 9 Thai Startups Pitching in Fukuoka

START:Feb 5, 2026END:Feb 5, 2026

To celebrate 20 years of friendship between Fukuoka Prefecture and Bangkok, nine innovative Thai startups will visit Fukuoka to pitch their businesses and explore opportunities for collaboration with local companies, investors, and support organizations. Taking place on Feb 5, 2026, this special event—Global Connect Spark Day—highlights deepening ties between the two cities and the potential for international startup exchange.

Fukuoka Prefecture and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) signed a friendship agreement in 2006 and have since fostered exchange across fields including business, culture, environment, and education. Building on this foundation, the event will introduce nine Bangkok-based startups seeking to expand into Japan, each offering solutions in fields such as energy, mobility, healthcare, AI, and consumer products.

Startups include TIE Smart Solutions, which reduces HVAC energy use via AIoT; RIFFAI, which uses satellite and AI technology to visualize environmental change; Smile Migraine, an AI-powered platform for personalized migraine care; and System Stone, offering a smartphone-based Factory DX platform. Other participants include ViaBus (real-time transit app), Graffity Technologies (AR navigation), Buzzebees (loyalty/CRM SaaS), 3DS Interactive (customer data integration), and Thai Master Dunk (handmade cosmetics and gift brand VSIAM).

The event is organized by the Global Connect Fukuoka Network (Fukuoka Prefecture Startup Promotion Division) with co-organizers including DIPROM (Thailand Ministry of Industry) and the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration. Plug and Play Japan is the commissioned partner. Participation is free, and interpretation will be available. The event is open to corporates, investors, startups, support organizations, and government officials.
