Until Feb. 7, head to the Hakata Traditional Craft Center to buy handmade Hakata-dolls inside gachapon (capsules). The dolls are made by the ‘young league’ of the Hakata doll association, which consists of eight artists responsible for carrying on the tradition of Hakata doll making to the next generation. The dolls are made around the theme kimono and are proving exceptionally popular with limited availability.
