One of the largest annual gatherings of language teachers in Japan is taking place this year right here in Fukuoka (November 11-14). Organized by the Japan Association for Language Teaching (JALT), this annual conference attracts 1,500 language teachers and other professionals, who attend among hundreds of workshops on language teaching, presentations on research and practical activities in language classrooms, tech how-to sessions, and educational materials displays.
This is JALT’s 48th annual conference, which is usually held in places like Shizuoka, Nagoya, and Tsukuba (an hour north of Tokyo), but this November is the first time that it will be held in Fukuoka City. If you’re living in this area, this is a great chance to come see what the JALT conference is all about!
