Jimmy Onishi is no longer a comedian but an artist. His unique style attracts many people, and a nationwide traveling exhibition looking back on 30 years of his career will be held at the Mitsukoshi Gallery. He began his career as a painter in earnest after holding his first solo exhibition in 1993, and celebrates his 30th anniversary in 2022. This exhibition, his first traveling exhibition in about 10 years, will feature a variety of works from his early years to the period when he emigrated to Spain, as well as a new series of works that have never been exhibited before and special works painted especially for the Fukuoka venue. In addition, Jimmy Onishi will visit the exhibition on April 1 and 2, and from April 12 to 15, and will sign autographs for the first 200 visitors who purchase a book of his works on the day of the event.
