Every year when the azaleas are in bloom, Kurume’s Hyakunen “100 years” Park hosts its annual Azalea Festival! Head to Kurume City to see around 200,000 azaleas in full bloom, along with bonsai trees and other potted plants. Entry is free, and the festival runs until May 5. A great day out for the family or the plant-lover.
