In honor of the Kyushu Wind Orchestra’s 10th anniversary, legendary Dutch composer Johan de Meij joins the orchestra to conduct some of his most famous pieces in this one-night-only concert. Best known for his composition Symphony No. 1, nicknamed “The Lord of the Rings” symphony, Johan de Meiji is also active as a conductor, adjudicator, lecturer, trombone and euphonium player. He will take the Kyushu Wind Orchestra through his original compositions “The Lord of the Rings”, “Dutch Masters Suite”, and his arrangement of “Miss Saigon”.
