Celebrating the 30th anniversary of sister city relationship between Bordeaux and Fukuoka City, French architecture unit “le Bureaux Baroque” is bringing an installation art exhibition to IMS Fukuoka! The piece, entitled “The Moon House”, contains within its walls photographs, sounds and other materials that aim to recreate the feeling of Bordeaux’s culture, environment and architecture. In particular, the piece imitates the river side of Bordeaux City, an area which is certified as a UNESCO World Heritage Spot. Famous French architects Alan Gentil and Laurent Tardi, known together as “le Bureau Baroque”, will attend the opening reception (10/20), where you can enjoy snacks and drinks while chatting with the architects and other guests. The two architects will also be present at the exhibition for 10 days to communicate with visitors as they view the installation. They will be present from opening day 10/20 (Sat.)~10/30 (Tue.), between 14:00 and 20:00 daily. For four days during the exhibition, you can also enjoy tea with stylish design tableware from Bordeaux at the special Café éphémère.
