Masaru Suzuki, one of the most famous textile designers in Japan, will hold his first solo exhibition in Kyushu. Suzuki is known in the industry for his own brand Ottaipnu as well as the creations he has produced for companies such as Uniqlo and Marimekko. His vibrant designs will be featured on approximately 100 items, including textiles, umbrellas, rugs, and fabric panels. Visitors will surely be uplifted by Suzuki’s expressive use of color and patterns. A series of events including an opening reception (12/9), a talk about the artwork on display (12/16), and a badge-making workshop (12/17) are scheduled for the first week of the exhibition’s run.
