A meat festival showcasing branded beef, pork, and chicken from all seven prefectures of Kyushu takes place in front of Hakata Station. Around 20 vendors from across the region serve dishes such as Kagoshima Kuroge Wagyu steak bowls and Kumamoto Akaushi beef skewers, alongside a variety of local meat specialties.
From simple plates that highlight the natural flavors of the ingredients to inventive original menus by popular restaurants and meat specialists, the range of offerings is a key draw. Dishes prepared by producers and acclaimed chefs offer the chance to compare regional differences in quality, grilling techniques, and seasoning. Visitors purchase special coins at a designated booth and exchange them for food at each stall. A dedicated dining area provides space to enjoy the dishes while exploring the diversity of Kyushu’s meat culture.
