Nestled in Ogori city, Nyoirinji Temple, fondly referred to as the “Frog Temple,” boasts a collection of more than 10,000 frog-related items, inspiring its nickname. Every year from June to September, the temple hosts a wind chime festival, inviting visitors to pray for good health while enjoying the soothing symphony of countless wind chimes reflecting the lush greenery of the surroundings. The symphony of chimes, each creating a cool, refreshing sound as the breeze passes through, combines to produce impressive musical notes that add to the serene atmosphere. For a personal touch, guests have the opportunity to inscribe their prayers on a wind chime and offer it to the temple for a nominal fee of ¥500 per chime.
