A 90th anniversary ceremony for rice planting will be held during this festival. Children from Wakiyama Elementary School and the local residents will perform taue odori (rice planting dance) and plant rice seedlings. Information boards about rice planting 90 years ago and rice planting clothes will be on display. You can join a photo contest before 3 p.m. by handing in your work at the Wakiyama Gymnasium. Come and celebrate the taue festival with the locals!
