Get out your dancing shoes, it’s time to tango! This four-day tango festival is a dream for tango-lovers everywhere, with pros and amateurs alike gathering under a single roof for nonstop workshops, milongas (tango dance parties) and after-milongas! Timed to coincide with the cherry blossom season, the Sakura Tango Festival (this year titled “Sakura, Asia and Tango”) has become a highly anticipated event on the spring calendar. On the programme this year is a show by two master dancers from Argentina, as well as food and art showing the best of tango culture. Never danced before? Not to worry! Take free beginner classes on Mar. 29 (16:00~17:00) or Mar. 30 (13:00~14:00) at Tiempo Hall (instructed by Hector & Gabriela). Don’t miss the biggest tango festival in western Japan – all levels welcome!
