Enjoy a summer festival inside the grounds of one of Fukuoka’s best-known temples this summer! Shofukuji Temple, the first Zen temple to be established in Japan, is a nationally designated historic site and is just 10 min. on foot from Hakata Station. The event will feature Bon Festival dancing and raffles. Sweets and candy will be given out to children during the festival. Tea and confectionery will also be provided for older visitors (8/21). Don’t forget to check out the displays of beetles and stags at the “insect house”. Visit with the entire family!
