On Jul. 7, lonely hearts wrote their wishes for new love on strips of paper called tanzaku and sent these to Tanabata Shrine. A month later, at Ogori City’s Tanabata Summer Festival, you are invited to walk amongst these paper wishes which came from all over Japan. The shrine will also be decorated with paper lanterns and there will be festival stalls, a night market, and stage performances. Visit with family and friends!
