The Fukuoka Marathon may be over, but it’s now time to get pumped for the Fukuoka International Marathon. Fukuoka International Marathon is a men’s marathon race which has been classified as an IAAF Gold Label Road Race, so this is a chance to see some of the world’s top runners in action! Two world record holders from Kenya will be competing: Dennis Kimetto and Patrick Makau (champion of last year’s marathon). The runners will be divided into two groups, both of which will run through the south-west part of Fukuoka City, heading east to the turning point in Kashii. The course is 42.195 km long, finishing at Heiwadai Stadium. Group A will start at Heiwadai Stadium, and Group B will start at Ohori Park. The first eight to finish will receive awards. Go along to show your support for runners from home and abroad!
