“The Great Story of Vietnam”, Japan’s first major exhibit on Vietnamese culture, is showing at the Kyushu National Museum in Dazaifu. This special exhibit, which commemorates 40 years of diplomatic ties between Japan and Vietnam, and the fifth year of friendship between Fukuoka Pref. and Hanoi City, features 249 cultural assets collected from Vietnam and other countries, including dragon roof decorations excavated from the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long, a world heritage site in Hanoi. The exhibit will run until June 9. Kyushu National Museum is planning to hold an exhibit on Japanese culture at the National Museum of Vietnamese History in Hanoi later this year.
