Renowned as one of Japan’s leading underground garage rock bands, The Routes have been creating and releasing music in Kyushu for 18 years. This year, they will perform two shows in Fukuoka prefecture during a brief Golden Week Japan tour, marking their first Japanese performances in over 4 years. The band will take the stage at Kokura Cheerz on May 4th and Bar Bassic in Fukuoka on May 5th. The Routes will deliver instrumental sets featuring tracks from their album “The Twang Machine,” a reinterpretation of twelve Kraftwerk songs as surf guitar music, reminiscent of The Ventures and Dick Dale. This event is highly recommended for fans of guitars, 60s music, garage rock, surf rock, or Kraftwerk’s tunes.
