The Potential of Regional Co-Creation Revealed Through Saiki City x NEXCO West Japan’s Tabiccha
Where does a journey begin? Tabiccha is a strategy designed to reach people who are thinking about travelling or are already on the move. But an encounter with a regional destination may begin even earlier, within everyday urban life. Using the Chihaya SA Project, which brings the concept of a service area into the city, this session examines how connections with regional areas can be created from the perspectives of a DMO, a commercial facility, and an expressway company. It also considers how those urban touchpoints can lead to actual travel and influence destination choices.
