START:Sep 13, 2025END:Nov 9, 2025
To mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War in 1975, this special exhibition showcases the diverse development of Vietnamese art over the past century. Featuring 110 works, mainly from the Fukuoka Asian Art Museum’s collection, it traces the country’s artistic journey from the 1930s to the present. Through paintings, graphics, and other works by Vietnamese artists, the exhibition explores a turbulent 100 years shaped by colonial rule, the struggle for independence, the refugee experience, and globalization. It is the largest exhibition of modern and contemporary Vietnamese art ever held in Japan.
