With his curiosity peaked by James Clavell’s novel Shogun, Jeff first came to Japan in the 1970s to pursue an interest in aikido. Since then he’s built a career around manufacturing, selling, servicing, and, yes, occasionally playing on swings and trampolines. Most of his swings are bought by schools, institutions and families with disabled children. “Trampolines make people smile. Even children who can’t walk, enjoy and benefit from them. And despite the rumors, they’re safe, provided you don’t try any dangerous tricks.” Jeff’s workshop is outside the city in Keya where children (of all ages) are welcome to try out trampolines and swings.
