This afternoon, Fukuoka Now reported on Japan’s first ever Halal Expo held inside ACROS Fukuoka, Tenjin. The event featured displays of Japanese Halal foods including ramen, soba, udon, gyoza, curry, miso, shoyu, dango, pudding, pasta, amazake (non-alcoholic) and more!
When at around 1:30 pm the crowd flocked to one side of the hall, one of Japan’s biggest “celebrities” and Kumamoto Prefecture mascot, Kumamon made a guest appearance!
The star helped out at the booth, offering samples of halal foods to the crowd, and posed for photos with a few lucky fans.
