Fukuoka Prefecture Government announced on Apr. 5, a recorded 13.6% reduction in electricity use in its buildings compared to the same previous Dec.~Mar. This represents a 25.1% usage cut compared to the same winter period two years ago. Since the Great East Japan Earthquake, Fukuoka Pref. has made an effort to conserve electricity by reducing lighting and encourage staff to leave offices on time.
