14 Unexploded Bombs Found In Shrine in Fukuoka City

On March 22, fourteen unexploded bombs were found at the Hirano Shrine in Fukuoka City. Police and SDF members removed the bombs from a water tank at the shrine late on the same day. The shrine is located about 200 meters away from the Tojinmachi Subway Station in Chuo Ward, Fukuoka City. The bombs are thought to have been from the American air raids in 1945 on the city.  Source: KBC / NHK
