The Japan Skating Federation announced on September 25 that the 2019 ISU (International Skating Union) World Team Trophy in Figure Skating will be held in Marine Messe Fukuoka during April. The competition has been held in Tokyo for the past five years. The 2019 edition will see Fukuoka resume hosting duties for a major skating event, following the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final (formerly Champions Series Final), which took place in the city during December 2013.
