2,200 Students Opt for Online School in Fukuoka City

As many as 2,200 pupils and students from Fukuoka City’s municipal elementary and junior high schools took online classes on Aug. 30. The regional education committee revealed that the growing worries over the new coronavirus infection prompted the situation on the first day of the second term. The average daily count for the COVID-19 infections among municipal schools had increased from 5.7 in May to 19.3 in August. Source: News 24 / Mainichi
