Aeon is planning to open an outlet mall of fashion brands at the land where Space World will be closing at the end of 2017, which is currently under inspection of the landowner, Nippon Steel & Sumitomo Metal Corporation (NSSMC) and Fukuoka Prefecture. NSSMC wants the land to be of use and plans to redevelop the area before Space World closes down. The land is 240,000 square meters wide, about three times larger than Yahoo! Dome.
