Tickets for all 15 days of the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament have sold out, according to the Japan Sumo Association. The tournament opens on Nov. 8 at Fukuoka Kokusai Center. A traditional gomenfuda sign announcing the tournament was installed at the venue on Oct. 8. The roughly four-meter sign bears characters indicating that permission has been granted to hold the event. The tournament’s director said he hoped Kyushu-born wrestlers and the top-ranked competitors would give spectators performances to enjoy. Source: NHK News / Nishinippon Shimbun
