Asahi Beer to Relocate Hakata Brewery

As part of its restructuring plans, Asahi Breweries, Ltd. will close Hakata Factory and two other facilities. While the factories in Kanagawa and Ehime will completely close at the end of January 2023, the Hakata Factory will continue until its relocation at the end of FY 2025. By then, a new factory will be built in a neighboring location as a base for Asahi’s new-generation production model, with technologies to save energy by 50% and significantly reduce CO2 emissions. The 122 employees who are currently working at Hakata Factory will be reassigned to the new factory. Source: Yomiuri / Asahi Group Holdings
