Astrologer Arrested in ¥2 Billion Fraud Case

A 51-year-old woman, formerly working as an astrologer in Fukuoka, has been arrested for allegedly defrauding a local woman of ¥10 million through a fake investment scheme involving feng shui-based property deals. Operating under the name “Hoshikara-ya,” she allegedly convinced around 70 clients to invest, collecting a total of approximately ¥2 billion. Police suspect the funds were used for personal expenses, including cars and real estate. The woman denies the allegations, claiming she did not intend to deceive. Source: KBC
