The GPS-based smartphone game “Attack of Titan in Hita” was released on September 13. The application allows players to embark on an actual quest around Hita City (Oita,) the hometown to the author of the manga “Attack of Titan,” and conquer titans lurking in the city. (*Reflecting on the current virus situation, the game can temporarily be played from anywhere in Japan.) It also features AR functions, which allows onsite users to take photos of titans.
