From September 1, visitors who want to experience one of the seven outdoor baths located beside the Kusu River in the onsen resort of Amagase in Hita City, Oita Prefecture, will be able to bathe while wearing their own bathing clothes. Until now, most of the mixed communal baths dotted along the riverbed required guests to go in naked.
