BMW recently held its first Japanese demonstration of the hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, BMW iX5 Hydrogen, in Fukuoka City. The test drive covered over 4 km on public roads and involved journalists. BMW is partnering with Toyota for the joint development of this technology and has been conducting worldwide tests since February. Fukuoka City is also promoting hydrogen energy, using it for school meal delivery trucks and waste collection vehicles. BMW aims to refine the vehicle based on user feedback and targets a market launch in the latter half of this decade. Source: NHK
