Bookstore With an Entrance Fee To Open in Fukuoka

Bunkitsu, a bookstore designed to introduce books, will open on the 7th floor of Iwataya on Mar. 31. The Roppongi-born bookstore charges an entrance fee to customers and offers a day-long experience to encounter new books, read them over a cup of coffee, and purchase them. Approximately 30,000 titles, including art books and technical books, will fill the shelves. Also, the Fukuoka shop uniquely features a room for children’s books. Fees (incl. free cups of coffee and Japanese tea): weekday ¥1,650, Sat., Sun. and holidays. ¥1,980, monthly subscription (weekday only) ¥10,000 Source: Iwataya
