A new facility called the “Botanical Life Square” will open on March 10th at the Fukuoka City Botanical Garden, offering visitors the opportunity to enjoy flowers and plants while attending events. The glass-walled facility features a “hall” and a “salon.” The 140 square meter “hall” can accommodate up to 100 people and is equipped with a projector and kitchen, which can be rented for a fee to hold events such as food and art exhibitions or conferences. When not in use for events, visitors can also use it freely as a resting area. The “salon” is a serene living room-like space where visitors can take a break or read at any time. The garden is also considering holding exhibitions of floral and plant works in this area in the future. To use the Botanical Life Square for events, advance reservations are required, and it will be available for use not only during the garden’s opening hours from 9 am to 5 pm but also during early morning and nighttime hours.
