The Kyushu Economic Research Center has compiled a ranking of 188 municipalities in Kyushu and Yamaguchi and Okinawa prefectures breaking down the percentage of the population on Facebook as of April. Far and away the leader was Okinawa City, with 27.85% of the population registered. Second was Beppu, Oita, with 4.23%. The top five cities in the ranking have a large population of U.S. service personnel or university students from abroad.
