On July 19, 2024, Nishi-Nippon Railroad Co., Ltd. announced that the renowned French luxury brand Chanel will be a key tenant in the “One Fukuoka Bldg.” (abbreviated as “One Building”), currently under construction in Tenjin, Chuo-ku, Fukuoka City. The building is scheduled to open in the spring of 2025, with Chanel Fukuoka Tenjin Boutique set to become one of the largest flagship stores in Japan, spanning approximately 1,160 square meters.
The boutique, designed by the Peter Marino Architect, will feature an iconic Chanel façade and beautiful windows on the first floor. It will also have two entrances accessible from Watanabe-dori and the building’s atrium. Inside, visitors will find an array of ready-to-wear items, leather goods, shoes, fine jewelry, including bridal collections, and watches.
