Cherry Blossoms Bloom In Fukuoka

The Fukuoka District Meteorological Observatory announced the blooming of cherry blossoms in Fukuoka on the morning of March 25. This year’s bloom is two days earlier than last year but three days later than the historical average. The announcement was based on the observation of more than five blossoms on the official sample tree—a Somei Yoshino—in Chuo Ward. According to officials, blooming progressed rapidly from a single blossom seen the previous day. Full bloom is expected within the next week to ten days. Source: NHK
