The Chikuho Bank of Kurume began handling deposits in Chinese yuan for both individual and corporate accounts on the 9th. They are responding to the growing interest in people wanting to use yuan for investments after it became convertible with the yen in June. Deposits and withdrawals will be conducted in yen, however.
