Solar cell manufacturer Hareon Solar of Jiangyin, China, established and began operating a subsidiary in Fukuoka City. They were interested in opening a business in Japan with the start of the system in July requiring utilities to purchase the power generated by renewable sources. They intend to sell solar panels to megasolar plant operators in Kyushu.
