Maintenance hole lids with manga art will soon be installed on the streets of Minamata City, Kumamoto. To mark the 70th anniversary of the local government, the city produced six maintenance hole lids representing local landmarks and cute female characters in collaboration with Minamata-native famous manga artist Hisashi Eguchi. Four of them will be used on the streets of Minamata’s city center. At the same time, the remaining two will be exhibited at Minamata Roadside Station (Michino-eki Minamata) and the city’s waterworks bureau. Source: Minamata City 02/21/2020
