A new museum to pass on the story of war and peace opened in Kitakyushu City on March 19. Mayor Kitahashi and war veterans attended the opening ceremony to celebrate the opening. The “City of Peace Museum” was built in Katsuyama Park on the site of the former Kokura Army Arsenal, which was an arms factory during the war. A life-size model of an incendiary device and 150 valuable documents convey the tragedy of war and the preciousness of life 77 years after the end of the war. Source: KBC
