Container Crane To Get Giraffe Makeover

A very tall giraffe will appear on Fukuoka City’s Island City in early 2022. The mayor of the city, Soichiro Takashima, told a press conference that one of the six gantry cranes at the area’s container terminal would be repainted like a giraffe. The 100-meter high machine would stand against the blue sky and the sea, adding some happy touch to the portscape from the city and the Fukuoka Children’s Hospital.
