COVID-19 Infections on The Rise in Kyushu – Nightlife Cluster Established

Between June 29 ~ July 5, Fukuoka Prefecture announced 32 more cases of the new coronavirus infection. Nine of them were found on Jul. 5, including four customers of a members-only bar in Fukuoka City. The cumulative total for the prefecture now stands at 877. Meanwhile, Kagoshima Prefecture announced 34 more cases on Jul. 4, making it the largest daily figure. Also, twelve cases were reported on Jul. 5, and all those cases were linked to the cluster at a nightlife facility. Due to the surge in the number, some commercial facilities and schools had announced temporary closure in Kagoshima.
