Fukuoka Prefectural Police, Kyushu Police Department, Fukuoka Immigration Bureau and the Fukuoka Legal Affairs Bureau met on Dec 11 for a meeting to discuss prevention of sham marriages. This year 23 people belonging to a group involved in sham marriages in Fukuoka were arrested. The participants agreed to report suspicious sham marriages to the Fukuoka Legal Affairs Bureau.
