Following the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism (MLIT) announcement to resume accepting international cruise ships into Japan, the Port of Hakata is expected to begin accepting cruise ships in March next year. The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport, and Tourism announced on November 15 that it would resume accepting international cruise ships into Japan following the relaxation of waterfront measures and the cruise ship industry’s establishment of guidelines to prevent new coronas. The guidelines require at least 95% of passengers to be vaccinated twice, have a PCR test within three days before boarding the ship, or have a negative test result by an antibody test. According to Fukuoka City, the Port of Hakata will arrange to resume port calls by the end of March next year. Source: RKB
