CTBC to Launch MBA Program in Okinawa

Taiwanese financial group CTBC announced on August 3 that it will launch a two-year MBA program in Okinawa in February 2027. Operated by CTBC Business School, the course will combine online classes with in-person instruction and primarily recruit working professionals in the prefecture. Graduates will receive an MBA and a graduate-school credential in Taiwan. The first cohort is expected to include 20 to 30 students. CTBC signed a basic agreement with the GW2050 Projects Promotion Council, a group of Okinawan companies and business organizations pursuing regional growth and former US military base redevelopment. The school’s president said Okinawa’s proximity to Taiwan would support instructor access and educational ties. Organizers also hope the program will retain local talent, attract people from outside Okinawa, and encourage semiconductor-related cooperation. Source: Nikkei / Okinawa Times
