Oita Prefecture selected Daiichi Kotsu Sangyo Co., Ltd. as the candidate operator of its hovercraft. The Kitakyushu-based taxi company was the only company to apply as the operator of the new transportation service between Oita Airport and Oita City. Its proposal included developing a terminal building in the Nishi-Oita district, with cafes and shops inside. Daiichi Kotsu and Oita Prefecture aim to sign an official agreement in November and work towards opening the service in the fiscal year of 2023. Source: Yomiuri / FNN
