Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine is asking new year visitors to avoid visiting the area between January 1 ~ 3, 2021. Usually, the area is seen by some 2 million people during the first three days of the year; however, to prevent the spread of the new coronavirus, people are asked to schedule their ‘hatsumode’ visit for less congested days. The shrine will announce congestion management plans in early November, in cooperation with the police and the local government. Source: KBC / RKB
